The days have been quite grueling but finally today we have a rest day. The most difficult hike was the last 2 kilometers into Zubiri. We walked downhill on rough shale. It seemed we would never arrive. We've had beautiful weather, good food, and comfortable beds. The way is not as crowded as we had expected. It is fun to meet up with the same friends day by day and share conversations with people from all across the globe. The first night, Esther met twin girls from New Zealand, a week apart from her in age. Since then, they walked together a few days meeting up with us at break points and at night. The girls' parents kept up with them, while we lagged behind. We've participated in worship services and prayed in a number of services. Last night we were particularly impressed with the number of worshipers, especially young people and families participating in the service at San Saturnino in Pamplona. All the while a great party was occurring in the streets outside! Tomorrow we walk on in the strength that God provides.
I'm glad to read your updates! And that things are going well. How fun for Eppie to already make some friends!
