Los Arcos

 18-6-25 Los Arcos, Espana

We walk by faith and not by sight,

No gracious words we hear

From him who spake as man e'er spake;

But we believe him near.

We may not touch his hands and side,

Nor follow where he trod;

But in his promise we rejoice,

And cry, 'My Lord and God!'

Help then, O Lord, our unbelief;

And may our faith abound

To call on thee when thou art near

And seek where thou art found:

That, when our life of faith is done,

In realms of clearer light

We may behold thee as thou art,

With full and endless sight.

-Henry Alford

The other morning we chose this as a song to memorize along the way. It was meaningful to march along as a family singing it together. Esther said goodbye to her friends today, after walking with them on and off since the start. It's been quite hot, but today we were on the trail by 6:30 am, so we fared much better.
