What my soul doth long for

Jesus, Whom now hidden, I by faith behold,
What my soul doth long for, That Thy word foretold:
Face to face Thy splendor, I at last shall see,
In the glorious vision, Blessed Lord of Thee.
-Thomas Aquinas

Father Jonathan Trebilco, Headmaster of the St. Timothy School, has been teaching our Sunday School class on the Gospel of John. As he has taken us through John's Gospel he has highlighted parallels between the account of God's Creation of the World in Genesis and the world made new by the incarnation, life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. In his booklet, Fr. Trebilco states: "the world is made new through Jesus Christ the Son of God Who is both God and man, both Creator and creature, and both Maker and Redeemer. The works of God in the first creation are made to reveal the works of the Son of God to bring about new creation." We have enjoyed being drawn to worship Jesus through this class. I hope to continue meditating on these truths!

Ed continues plugging away at his studies. He is taking Hebrew II this semester. He is working on a paper for his January class. The topic is Anglican Worship. This weekend he is privileged to be taking Sacred Music with Chris Hoyt, composer and organist. In this class he is learning Anglican Chant and acquiring tools he will need to supervise music ministry in a parish.

Esther is plugging away at kindergarten. She loves to draw and is always handing us something to hang up!

Mel is holding down the fort and keeping busy at it. She still can not manage to do half of the things she plans.

We were pleased to have a visit from my parents over the Valentine's/President's long weekend. It was nice to spend time with them and we had some very nice weather for their visit!
